We Dive at Dawn

Much quieter than the typical WWII submarine drama and doesn't fall into the propagandist category. John Mills is his ubiquitous self with a sound supporting cast. The simplicity of the plot works here making the sotryline far more realistic and believable

I grew to really adore the casual approach to submarining by Anthony Asquith and his crew. The atmosphere felt very loose so I didn't really know what to think at first, but once the underwater mission got seriously under way, I was hooked.

Good stuff. Well done '40's content.
