Can't help but suffer in comparison to the original, but has a lot of great moments (the dubbed kung-fu fight, the Charlton Heston cameo, everything with Christopher Walken). If you liked the first one, give this one a shot.

Yes it's not as funny as the first movie but the characters are still fun to be around and the poke fun of it being a movie moments are worth a ~smile~ I have one question though: Why was Aerosmith so popular around this time? They were in everything , no one likes Aerosmith, only people with dead souls. Dude looks like a Lady was in every single movie. From Mrs Doubtfire to Schindler's List.

Nowhere near as steady as the original, but its highlights might surpass the best of its predecessor. The Village People and sword fight scenes are two of the best in either movie, but my favorite gag from the series is the reveal of Garth floating during his kiss with Basinger. Myers and Carvey should go for a threequel when they're done working on their invisible man schtick they've been doing for ten years.

I feel this movie got unfairly shit on. Sure it isn't as good as the first, but that would be a hard one to top with a sequel. I think most people expected more and were angry it didn't live up to expectation, thus judging to harshly.

Hilarious sequel to the so-so part 1 is a brilliantly clever series of bizarre, surreal gags enacted by a top-to-bottom perfect cast; utilises all of its good sport cameos beautifully, especially the unexpected lifesaver "good actor" towards the end. Certainly nothing here approaching intelligent satire or pot-shots at its spoof targets, this is just solid, silly laughs in the AIRPLANE vein, and great fun on that basis.

Wayne and Garth are back to put together the greatest rock concert ever after being visited by the ghost of Jim Morrison and a weird naked Indian. If they build the stage will the bands come? Will Wayne be able to keep the shady record-producer from stealing away his girlfriend Cassandra? Is this a fun follow-up to the original film? Yes.

Wayne's World 2 is a solid sequel that, though hardly new in any way, deserves props for being so true to the original and carrying on the same kind of unique humor that fuels the first film. Christopher Walken is an enjoyable addition. Pretty good!

Just not the same, even though the leads keep trying. The material is thin, there was zero reason for Christopher Walken to even be in this movie. Penelope Spheeris was missed, maybe Myers should have checked his ego at the door.

It's not as good as the original but it's better than I remember it. Myers and Carvey are back as Wayne and Garth. The duo are lovable boobs whose lackadaisical look at life hold them back and that provides the main conflict for both movies. In this movie, Wayne decided to put on a festival to impress his girlfriend, played again by Tia Carrere. This movie is the 90's in a nutshell but it still has some funny moments and it's good for an easy laugh.

Wayne's World 2 could be the only comedy sequel to do the exact same thing as the first and still be good. I'd argue that the structure is the same, but because the insides have been rearranged is why it is so good.

In spite of the decent attempt to give some character to Wayne, this sequel does largely the same gags as the original only not as well and not as often. The decision to shoot this in a more traditional way really drains the film of a lot of the tone that made the first so memorable.

Unfortunately this falls well short of WW1. The original was praiseworthy in that it had a structured plot rather than just being a series of sketches stuck together. The sequel sadly falls into the latter category. Too many sub plots of the first are repeated but surprisingly Walken doesn't outslime Lowe and the Cassandra/Wayne relationship isn't as believable. There are some funny scenes, James Hong is a highlight, but the Waynestock plot was weak with the Aerosmith ex machina climax a letdown

Time has really caught up with Wanye's World. What seemed like a clever and knowing 'deconstructivist' take on the comedy genre now appears a little quint and obvious and perhaps too self satisfied for its own good, but it lacks the cynical smugness of Myers' later works which are truly unbearable. Wayne and Garth are likeable characters, and Walken and Brown were great additions to the original lineup. There are many amusing cameos and parodies of rock stars too, particularly Jim Morrison.

While it recycles a lot of gags from the original - and puts a fair few in, it seems, to appease fans of the catchphrases - Wayne's World 2 has an almost aggressively endearing vibe of stupidity. It knows it's still a movie about 2 dumb kids trying to have a good time and with this in mind it almost entirely abandons a coherent plot in favor of more and more gags. Some great bit parts, a few of my favorite gags, more Garth, and Christopher Walken. What's not to like? Mediocre direction.

I hate the way how Mike Myers writes his sequels. All (most) jokes here are repetition of the ones that were done in the first movie. Same thing can be said about his later Austin Powers franchise. Thankfully this is the last time we see Wayne and Garth, right before they stopped being funny and started getting annoying. Christopher Walken is the real power of this film.

It's certainly not nearly as fresh or the same level of classic as the original, but the fundamental interplay between the two boys is still there and a lot of the little skits (the badly-dubbed kung fu battle, the Village People spoof, Charlton Heston's cameo) are still pretty damn classic. Also, Christopher Walken. "You want me to say what... like, I don't get it. Is that it?"
