There's a handful of BIG laughs, like full-on from the gut stuff, but with curiously long stretches of dead air often stuck in between them. I'd certainly recommend it for Paul Rudd and/or The State fans, but as a Netflix rental. It's not a film that will lose anything on home video. (Also, hesitations aside, this and especially Horrible Bosses certainly represent a superior direction for Jennifer Aniston's career than the shitty PG-13 romcoms she's mostly stuck with since Friends ended.)

Jennifer Aniston was topless and they censored it but they show a bunch of old people running nude. Awful!!!!

I always love watching Rudd. I like Aniston as well for whatever reason. This is a few really good jokes away from being "very good." It dragged a little bit here and there but there were definitely some really good jokes in there. Even though it goes by an obvious formula, it's still entertaining and is a nice surprise for me because honestly I expected it to be terrible (despite having Rudd).

I could probably write a template for this kind of movie. Really funny (unsurprisingly, considering my love of Childrens Hospital) but the plot is so dumb that it actually starts to get annoying in the third act. Like at a certain point they had to sigh and say, fine, we have to introduce conflict now, let's just get it over with. Super funny, though.

Finally a funny comedy from 2012. I thought that this movie was pretty funny and had a good heart as well. Two New Yorkers lose everything and end up moving to basically a hippie commune where some pretty funny stuff happens. I think Paul Rudd was playing the character that he does best, the uptight yet hopeful hero. Aniston also did a good job as the flighty wife who can't decide on anything. Big props to Malin Akerman for being super sexy in this film. Love the part about the nude author.

Accurately (and possibly indirectly) conveys how fucking stupid hippies are so it's pretty great in that regard. Otherwise by the numbers and pretty typical

Actually much more entertaining and funny than I had expected. Given the genre, I think Rudd is doing a great job and is even hilarious in the mirror scene. Unfortunately, it lost me towards the end and I was bored the last 20 minutes or so.

Starts out well, with Rudd and Aniston sharing a nice, easy chemistry, along with some genuinely droll, funny moments during the urban-set scenes. Once the plot kicks in at the commune, it loses all of its momentum, becoming vague and unfocused; feeling like one of those genial, somewhat sleepy comedies that Hanks/Chase/Candy used to be mired in back in the 80s. Pleasant enough, and Theroux and Alda as the commune leaders have their share of amusing moments, but it’s all for naught.

Imagine a movie that makes fun of the hippy-dippy lifestyle of an off-grid commune, with Paul Rudd in it, and I have saved you 90 minutes of occasionally amusing drivel. Paper thin premise, not very well played out, that just sort of ends for no reason.

While the story is pretty predictable, this flick has a lot of really funny moments and a handful of great performances, including Alan Alda as the aging founder of the commune and Justin Theroux as it's self-serving leader. It's not spectacular, but it's genuinely funny and entertaining.

Not really sure what it is but this movie killed me, watched it at 35,000 feet with a few drinks in me, so maybe that had something to do with it. A great cast help pull off this out there comedy, Rudd and Aniston have great chemistry which is key. Just watched the trailer again to see if I was over valuing this one, and a definite no as I was laughing remembering all the gags.

A rewatch did not improve this one, despite David Wain movies often being better the second time around. Too much plot, not enough jokes, and overall, entirely removed from the style of his Michael Showalter collaborations. That said, the mirror scene is one of the funniest things ever and totally worth watching on YouTube, at least.

Flashes of Wain genius but overall could be a lot better and do with more absurdism. The Bizarro cut is way, way, way funnier. Mix that with the structure of the actual movie and this would be in the 80s.

As a comedy, it just isn't that funny. I'm normally a fan of Rudd's schtick, but Wanderlust just feels depressing. There are a few funny moments, and plot-wise it is a solid film, but for some reason the drama and comedy don't meld, and I was constantly left feeling disappointed. That said, Alda's brief appearances are golden.

Funnier than I expected but won't go down as a classic by any means. Generally I hate Aniston and love Rudd, the former wasn't true in this case and there was a decent supporting cast. The main issue is a common one with modern comedy where gags run a bit over long. Sometimes this comes around to being funny again, not here. Decent watch, nothing spectacular

Wanderlust is watchable but by no means memorable. I've always liked Paul Rudd & Jennifer Aniston and I much prefer Jennifer Anniston in films like this and 'Horrible Bosses' & 'We're the Millers' rather than her carbon copy rom coms. There's a handful of enjoyable moments but I don't recall particularly laughing too often and overall much of what happened escapes me. But it's an easy watch and it's carried by two likeable leads.

There were a lot of funny parts in this film. Keegan-Michael Key, Paul Rudd, Alan Alda, Joe Lo Truglio, and the Atlanta PM news team were hilarious. That said, Aniston felt like she was miscast and was totally outshined by every other actor. The film sags in the middle as the writers start to beat a dead horse for jokes. A lot of the hippie spoofs were too close to reality to be funny. The story arch is also predictable. I wanted to like this, but honestly, Mr. Wain is capable of doing better.

If Wanderlust didn't lose so much time trying to tell a love story that goes wrong for most of its running time, this could've been really funny. Haven't these guys seen how great was its last 15 minutes? Some of the hippie gags just seem to try too hard -- it's clearly an attempt to show how open people would be for new experiences in times of recession --, but the graphic humor -- lady having a baby, nudist people -- always works.

This is certainly not a film you want to watch with your parents. What with the full-frontal nudity and humorously frank language. I watched this film after seeing the infamous "mirror scene". Having done so, said scene is arguably the funniest part of the whole film. It is still funny, mind. The humour is mostly crass and puerile, so if you're not into that, this film is not for you. But what do you expect from Apatow?

This was interesting. At times, I was impressed with its wit. Rudd, Theroux, and the supporting cast all have at least two funny lines. There were other times, however, when I was annoyed by what I was watching. And that largely describes Wanderlust. It's the kid in class who isn't that funny, but every once in a while he'll strike gold. If he knew when to stop, he'd have more friends. I said this was interesting, but it's not because of the film itself: I just don't see why this was made.

Fewer guitar-strumming scenes around a campfire and more conversations between the main characters as they deal with this difficult time in their lives might possibly have saved this, but alas. It raked in a worldwide box office of twenty-one million bucks on a budget of thirty-five million bucks, and it's difficult to believe it did that well.

Not bad...some good laughs but it is too redundant and takes the easy way out with how it makes fun of the commune residents as well with how it wraps everything up. Good performances, though. Always nice to see the guys from Stella together, even if it's only a scene or two.
