Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet

This was a lot of fun! Very well done effects for it's time and budget and John the Robot was wonderful.

Idiots on Venus, made worse by crappy dubbing. I'm not sure how Basil Rathbone shoehorned in makes any difference.

The only good thing about this is Rathbone.

This is a weird re-edited version of a Russian sci-fi film called PLANETA BUR with a few newly filmed (circa 1965) and useless scenes thrown in. Despite the horrific dubbing and thin plot, I kind of liked it. Oh, and the scene where the robot is giving an exhausted astronaut a pill is a riot! Harrington really had little involvement other than filming the added scenes I believe, and Roger Corman is largely responsible for this and other mangled versions of PLANETA BUR.I recommend it.
