"y'know, it's funny.... often i dream about records that don't exist." a probing, exceptionally naked little oddity, not to mention a hilarious, kitschy cult classic made by a weirdo about weirdos, littered with fascinating eccentrics including the filmmaker himself.

It's not about the music itself, it's mostly about obsession and loneliness.

Alan Zweig's film about collector's obsession is searingly personal and in the end, more revealing about loneliness than records. Terrific.

Surprisingly personal, and is barely even about records themselves, which was actually more interesting than if it had been. I liked the video diary style, and I think that this movie more than any shows that just about anyone can make a competent movie.
