A brutally raped young girl Zahira (Priyanka Nair) escapes the 2002 Gujarat riots, after her half-Keralite family is killed & ends up in Calicut, Kerala. In Calicut, prominent Muslims try to gain control of her & she runs away again. An elderly security guard, Gopalan (Thilakan) gives her shelter & a Hindu name, Radha, to hide her identity.
