Vesper sports some great design aspects and the characters are reasonably well-written and well-performed; however, the grim-dark apocalyptic setting and slow placed drama are tired and a bit boring. I was hoping to see more of the citadels for the contrast to the bleak atmosphere, but alas it was not to be. The soundtrack is good when it ramps up during climactic character moments, it all feels a bit silly. by the end the film fizzles out in a mixture of mediocrity and forgettableness.

This got carried a lot by its visuals/directing/cinematography. It's a really inspired world, with a lot of cool aspects to it. The story itself is fine, but maybe only a 60. It does have some pacing issues, and what happens doesn't match the creativity that was placed into designing the sets/world. But it was hard to be bored when everything looked so good. Levy's soundtrack is great, as well.

It starts very strong with inspired cyberpunk aesthetics. However, the story curiously halts and goes into a different direction. Overall, it was OK.

Interesting- felt a little like a film adaptation where they smooshed 3 novels into one movie, but otherwise I liked the bio-engineering themes and the focus on a capable young protagonist

Not sure what the message here is. The dystopian setting is fine, the story not so much

Constantly interesting though it never really unfolds.

Some neat visuals on a tight budget, but whatever that magic "it" factor is that makes a slow burn stand out, this movie lacks it. Dull and unsatisfying.

This movie does as many things right as it does them wrong. It gets weaker by the end, which really is tragic. The Set-Design is carried by its interesting setting, although it is squandered in the second half of the film.

A bit of a curate's egg; well made and certainly has its own vision, but the story kind of peters out. The design aesthetic is kind of Croneneberg-lite

Every sci fi thing has the same costume department now.
