This had an interesting concept: mixing mountain climbing and horror. The first half is quite effective and the climbing has been shot suspensefully. But once it shifts gears to full horror, it becomes a generic Texas Chainsaw Massacre variant with uninteresting characters, stupid decisions and a bland villain. It also has a hyperactive style that makes it feel longer than it is. It would have been a stronger film if it just concentrated on the climbing and tensions within the group.

Above average despite being formulaic and derivative; the film borrows heavily from films already well established within the genre. It gets extra points for some good performances, and some excellent cinematography.

Average. Psycho terror cliffhanger style. The film features action across some extremely brutal and beautiful landscapes but the formulaic story keeps it from rising above the ranks, still it has some brief flashes of genius. Nothing new except its in French. Ok time-waster. Slightly Recommended.

Sort of works out to be "The Descent" for acrophobes instead of claustrophobes. Really quite tense, even if most of the tension is stagy and obvious like all nowadays horror films, and I sort of like how there isn't a single laudable character in the bunch. Nothing about this is remarkable in any way, but I enjoyed it.
