Vaagai Sooda Vaa

Set in 1966, Veluthambi (Vimal), a young man employed with an NGO comes to a remote arid village to teach the children there, but faces disinterest from the local populace who were engaged in brick-making, & had no interest in education. Slowly, he breaks through & convinces them of the value of education, but this doesn't bode well with J.P. (Ponvannan), the local bigwig who was exploiting their illiteracy. (Summary by iceblox)
