V/H/S/94

This is the first instance I've ever seen of a 4th entry in a franchise being the clear best. Not a single segment was weak - perhaps only the frame story.

It's better than Viral (which probably shouldn't count), and the shorts themselves are OK, but it's missing perspective. There was a radical ideology that (probably accidentally) weaved within the respective collections of V/H/S and V/H/S 2. It didn't work this time, and it's tough to shake the feeling that it's because the producers didn't try to make it work. The Subject and Terror are excellent horror shorts, but I don't know if they make the whole thing worth it.

The real stand out is Storm Drain, which I easily rank as the second best story in the whole franchise (behind Safe Haven from VHS 2). Shame the others are so weak, though the last one is kind of fun. HAIL RAATMA

Not bad...

Tape 1: Storm Drain = Great special effects, some nice creepy visuals, and an effectively comedic ending(4/5). Tape 2: The Empty Wake = A bit simple and slow but the payoff is fun and there's some nice atmosphere(3/5). Tape 3: The Subject = mostly great but a lot of distractingly bad VFX hold it back(3.5/5). Tape 4: Terror = I didn't find the premise interesting, and the monster design didn't do it for me either, but it's well made (2.5/5) No total duds like the other VHS movies have

This wasn't terrible, just fucking stupid.

The cop story that goes on throughout, was pretty weak, but the vignettes are semi interesting, with Wake standing out as the best one

The first 2 tapes were really good, the 3rd one was fine and the 4th and final one was an annoying, stupid mess. Whatever was going on with the cops throughout the entire film was also very uninteresting and the payoff was so disappointing. If it were only the first 2 tapes I'd be giving this a much higher score, but it sadly isn't lol.

The story that binds the shorts together is underdeveloped and the acting is pretty bad. Raatma 8/10, Wake 6/10, Mad scientist 6/10, Wako 7/10

worth a watch

Better than the first and third one but not better than the second flick. I really liked all of the segments even though the wrap around was a tad uneven. Hail Raatma!

Kinda meh except for the monster designs and I liked the experiment part.

290. V/H/S/94 Sevgili @canevrenol 'un sabaha karşı attığı twit'le sabah 4 gibi izledim, izlediğim saat itibari ile son derece uygun oldu. Endonezya sinemasını neden sevdiğimi hatırlatmama yarayan segmenti sanırım en beğendiğim bölüm oldu.

Mostly disappointed by this considering it had such positive reviews. Think I may have grown tired of this found-footage format.

First and last segments rock. Second, third and the linking story suck hard balls.

The stories were pretty hit-or-miss, but overall it was a fun watch.

It's a shame that garbage like this can carry the name of the V.H.S. franchise.
