A gentle and meditative insight into a changing way of life.

Beautifully poignant, sad and reflective, I thought this was great as a bit of sort of philiosophical film. Its very much about the rural communities who are slowly, literally dying out due to the issues climate change bring. Hearing the noise of the bone dry well struggling to be operated was quite heartbreaking and I couldn't not feel sorry for the elderly couple depicted. There's some great cinematography, with barren landscapes depicted clearly via wide pan shots. I recommend this film.

“Utama” is a moving tale of resilience and the necessity of harmony between humans and nature. While the film may not be for everyone due to its slow pace and sparse narrative, the stunning cinematography and exceptional performances make it worth a watch for those who appreciate a more meditative cinematic experience.
