Unmarried

Unmarried (1939) is a remake of Lady and Gent (1932) and was Helen Twelvetrees last movie! She does give a fine performance in her farewell part, teaming with B-cowboy Buck Jones for a sentimental story of a couple of outsiders moving in together and by chance picking-up a stray kid, who grows up to have the same paths as them. Things builds-up nicely, and then ends rather abruptly. At least you can cross the "Un" in the title, but I do wish there was a proper climax.
