Unearthly Stranger

With only two sets, half a dozen actors and no special effects at his disposal, it’s massively impressive how Krish creates so much intrigue and tension. It’s a triumph of stripped-back sci-fi, with a simple concept belying a subtle commentary on gender roles, and there’s a memorable turn from Patrick Newell as the portly major whose cooperation is always suspect.

A charming old sci-fi film. Much better than other sci-fi, B movies of the era.
