The two best non-Asian martial artists go head to head in a prison brawl. The introduction of Scott Adkin's most iconic character, the most complete fighter in the world, Yuri Boyka. The script is hot garbage and anytime fists aren't flying you might as well fast forward.

The bits between the fights are bearable, which is as much as can be expected from movies of this caliber, but the fights themselves are only average - mostly impressive only for the sheer definition of the actors' unbelievable abs. Altogether, unremarkable but watchable.

This was a STRANGE one. Mild spoilers ahead. At first it felt like a classic "B movie". But the protagonist was so unsypmathetic I kind of wished he would stay in the jail. The last hour of the movie however... It got so unintentionally funny I had to watch it THREE times. For example: The manager of the protagonist was Scrooge McDuck greedy backstabber who got unsurprisingly backsabbed.. But it happened on a busy street in the middle of the day...

MUCH better than the first one, but still was crap...The fighting is the strongest part of the film, but even that wasn't so great.

Couldn't care less about the plot -- the main thing is that Chambers gets to help and old Russian soldier out of prison to find his niece and stop being a selfish asshole ex-champion -- but Florentine makes absolutely every punch, kick and blood drop count with beautifully, flashly staged "free" fights. It lacks considerable character depth when compared to Hill's original movie, but it compensates on welcoming stupidity and two brilliant martial artists trading moves.

Interesting one but Adkins oh my God, his abs seemed dinosaur's plates. Each time I did see him I felt like fire. The fights are well done but as I said Adkins is very good in fights scenes we can prove that through his career.

I'm gradually getting bored by the movies with religious Christians on evil side.

The best martial arts/action movie of the past decade with a legendary performance from Scott Adkins, looking unrecognisable as the now iconic Yuri Boyka. In this movie Boyka is the villain where he is essentially the king of the prison fighting circuit and not someone you would want to mess with. When he walks into a room he just exudes fury and everyone will move out of the way.

Story can get pretty corny at times, but at least everything in general is better than the first movie. I watched it for the fighting and the fighting wasn't too bad, especially compared to the first one which was honestly one of the worst things ever.

To put it bluntly you'll see this for the fight scenes. The story is pretty laughable and non of the dialog allows any of the cast to deliver something really impressive. With that said if you want to see Michael Jai White kick some ass then this is a movie to see, despite how much it's not very good.
