The form is the thing here; its story of relationship breakdowns is not original, but Nation keeps things doggedly unpredictable, even if you think you know where the story is headed. Understated performances help make this effortlessly and enjoyably watchable - even as the very intriguing obliqueness and ambiguity never pays off for a satisfying finale.
