Quite enjoyable. G.Hackman and M.Freeman make this movie pretty good. In fact the story is boring but with those 2 great actors it becomes a level higher. A surprisingly end for me.

A gem of a film, unfortunately overlooked. It takes many twists, and it's an amazing crime story that unfolds. Great performances from everyone except Jane, and it's hard to predict what happens next. I really enjoyed it.

With its main plot set in a limited time and place, this film takes interesting dips into the past as a detective "enters into" a suspect's memories as he recalls them in real time. Interesting visual and musical montages add to this unique screenplay that skillfully increases the intrigue and emotion, leading up to a regrettably anti-climatic ending that deflates instead of explodes. Freeman and Hackman are charismatic in their roles, however, and highlight an overall solid mystery-thriller.

Quite a good thriller that could have been far worse given a lesser cast. The entire film exists in very troubled and gritty shades of grey. The subjectiveness of influential nature of memory is called into question with flashbacks which are modified by suggestion, all of which are impressively presented. For a low budget thriller this is certainly worth checking out.

This is a boring film that basically goes nowhere. The ending is worthless, and Hackman's performance is cringe-worthy from start to finish. The one redeeming quality of the film is Monica Bellucci's famously fine face and figure, beautiful as ever.

You would think with an interesting storytelling mechanism, and a talented cast this would have been better.

An empty film.

Enjoyed this one. I liked the way that the scenes were recreated with the presence of the Police and shown from the various perspectives. Also, the obvious plot twist was avoided for a far more subtle variant. Did Hackman's missus do it? He certainly thought so (having already admitted to being a peado)! Generally under-rated, try it.

Good movie that takes unique approaches to storytelling - reenacting of memories, real, fake or incorrect, it's really neat to watch. Very emotional, very creepy feeling. I'd like to really give this a high rating, but the plot feels like it's been done before. Plus, Thomas Jane's conflicts with Hackman feel cliched. Still, it's recommended viewing.
