if you're gonna introduce a character with a nose ring like that in a horror movie, there seriously needs to be a scene where the nose ring gets gorily torn out.

I've seen this band a hundred times in real life and thought, "Hey, these kids kill. Nobody here gives a shit about them. If only someone would just dance." Followed by two minutes of actual dancing, content that my merch table CD purchase at least got them a cup of coffee. Anyway, Uncle Peckerhead is me, and every other punk over 35, but if that mix of sympathetic rockin' out and an actual disposable income became sincerely paternal. The cannibalism is just a metaphor.

The music is pretty rad and Littleton really pulls the whole enterprise with an aw-shucks-hillbilly charisma, but overall it's just not worth sitting through an hour and a half of this. I mean it's just people who know they can't act, so they lean into their ineptness under the guise of caricature. But it doesn't work and without Littleton, every gag feels like something out of a high school Video Production class. That said, it often feels like it might do something clever, but no. Nothing.

It doesn't try to be anything more than what it is. And at that, it is effective.
