Jayashankar (Jayaram), leading a content life with his sister & mother in a village, gets into trouble when he is accused of stealing money & has to leave for the city in search of his long-lost cousin Sethuraman. However, Sethuraman turns out to be Chenkeri Sethu (Suraaj Venjarammoodu), a notorious thief, & seeing no other go, Jayashankar joins Sethu's gang. In no time, Jayashankar turns out to be a new age urban thief, but he gets the shock of his life when he gets a job as SI of Police. (Summary by iceblox)
