Two to One

Two to One (1927) is a actually shortened reedit of Pampered Youth (1925), which was the first adaptation of Booth Tarkington's The Magnificent Ambersons, cutting it down to 2-reels instead of 5. While in its butchered state feels and looks nothing like Orson Welles's timeless 1942 version, in its 25-minute state it's packed to the point it's almost difficult to keep up with what's happening. It certainly has life, and a lot of it.
