Two Girls and a Sailor (1944) felt like one of those musicals where they throw all kinds of random acts in to distract a pointless plot, except here everything felt like they put in a little extra care into everything, including the the pointless romance plot. Having June Allyson & Gloria DeHaven gently battle it out for Van Johnson was done alright, and Jimmy Durante made enough noise to keep the rest of this alive! A perfectly fine movie, perhaps feeling better than it really was.
