Director Cicero clearly had his own vision and is not just copying Leone. It's one of the most "noir" spaghettis that I've seen. Amnesiac protagonist cannot trust anyone (himself included) and tries to fit the pieces together. Sabato is OK , but a more versatile actor could have elevated the film. Kinski is good - but he has done the same thing before. Budget limitations are evident especially when we get to the mandatory flashback. Not a true gem, but could re-watch from better quality source.

Kinski's character is named Dingus and the main guy screams "DINGUS!!!" multiple times, that's really the only thing this film has going for it.

A couple of decent shootouts do liven up an otherwise laboured and predictable story, but Sabato is an appalling lead and Kinski is given little opportunity to unleash the kind of feverish insanity that usually makes his performances so memorable. As Spaghetti Westerns go, it's bargain basement material.

Not a bad story, but the identity of the bad guy is painfully obvious the whole time, since this movie has Klaus Kinski in it, and he's ALWAYS the bad guy. Saddled with a particularly awful dub, but it's got some great scenery and some quality shootouts.
