Not scary; not interesting; it completely sucked

Gotta love the way Americans portray third-world countries and especially Latin America in their films, lmao.

They take a 10-hour plane ride to get to Brazil, another 2 weeks of hitchhiking to get inland, and then are in the middle of a 7-hour bus ride to get to ABC generic buttcrack beach resort, but are too fucking bored to wait 5 hours (or even 2 minutes) for the next bus to come when their ride breaks down, and instead go get high in a shady village that screams date rape. Then, once they have all their possessions stolen, they go and explore some underwater caves. Like Hostel, but nothing happens.

Hoped it would be much worse. It is a decent horror. I thought it would a wrong image of Brazil, where I live. But everything is presented in a way so Cheesy, that no one will believe it.

I really enjoyed this one, it does have a fair bit of similarities to Roth's films, so if you like those you will like this, The cinematography and locations are well done which add a lot of atmosphere, especially if you're someone who's done some traveling. Wilde and George are a joy.

Not a bad horror movie but the characters are pretty annoying and really stupid. The biggest downside to this movie is that it take two thirds of the movie before anything really happens.

I thought it was going to be much worse.

Too unrealistic but counts as a horror movie if what you seek is seeing lots of blood.

Somewhat similar to Hostel, but better in the sense that at least you can empathize with the characters. Otherwise unremarkable, however.

So that's it? That was my idea after seeing this one. You get an adventure story for 1 hour, 15 minutes of cutting and an underwater chase(which was actually not a bad idea, only the execution of it sucked) and than, bang, the end. There is absolutely no structure in this. The acting on itself wan't too bad, only it just didn't exite me, and this kind of movies really should.

Tries to cash in on the wave that "Hostel" created, but fails to really bring anything unique to the screen, resulting in boring characters that I wanted to die off, a boring story that I've seen before, and overall, a boring movie.

Stupid, predictable, and something I never want to see again.

As for the soundtrack - marvelous! But the movie itself was horrible, unpleasant and disgusting.

Utter trash, really only contained one scene that had me excited. Underwater chase scene was a neat idea with an awful execution.

A novel twist on the torture horror genre that has been created over the past few years. The cinematography, especially during the underwater sequences, is far above average. However, the story itself is just an interchangeable Mad Lib with a dozen other films, and the characters are pretty bland. All that aside, it is better than a great deal of horror films being put out in recent history.

Like Hostel except set in Brazil. Keep in mind, Hostel sucks.

total disappointment

Boring Gore. Bla bla bla... entrails entrails entrails... bla bla bla. You know the lame formula by now. Seen one, seen 'em all.

It would have been a decent flick, had they not made the ending complete bullshit. The script didn't venture too much into the standard-fare horror cliches, so the film managed to steer clear of terrible. Still rather disappointing.

Creates high hopes in the beginning, but builds up no characters developement, nor decent thriller/horror feelings. Bubling guy was kind of okay though. Melissa's further than nose out sticking lips irrates again.
