Rare finnish psycho drama / crime thriller with sadist tendencies. A small time crook gets caught up in a psychiatrists scheme to create a sadistic father-son relationship. Screenwriter Küttner plays with power relations : younger and more physically virile Crook vs the psychiatrist with the the power and respectability of the white jacket of his doctor's coat. Career best performance from acting legend Esko Salminen and a breakthrough role for Hannu Kivioja.
