Truth or Consequences, N.M.

Opens with an all-time bad credits sequence in which Vincent Gallo is processed out of prison, occasionally in slow motion, to an awful song entitled "Heaven's Last Attempt" by some third-rate Bryan Adams. This kind of rank sentimentality will continue to mingle with blatant Tarantino aping like Martin Sheen cutting off a guy's finger to "It's My Party" and Kiefer Sutherland looking and acting like a giant fucking douchebag. Numerous moments of incredible stupidity and no good scenes.

Strong/heartfelt ending though. Mykelti Williamson could really use some acting lessons though or at least he could lay off the racial slurs. It's like he was trying to applying ever possible racial slur to his character.

Meh. Predictable and average.

Kiefer Sutherland is one of my favorite actors, but his directing skills are nowhere near as good. In an nearly blatant rip-off of Reservoir Dogs, it goes from event to event basically being a huge waste of time. The only bright spot? "This is ham, dog."
