Truman

Fantastic film. The theme that the film deals with would not be something that I would actively search for in a film. However, I was pleasently surprised by the good acting and script. Great scenes that keep following up each other. The scenes didn't remind me of other films that I had seen. Very emotional and enthralling!

Maybe it's simply because my mom was battling cancer (and came through), but I cried severely watching this film. Very heartfelt and with some exquisite acting from Darin and Cámara.

The Goya Awards 2016 winner Truman (2015) is a simple tale of male bonding. One of them is terminally ill and we get to know about his life, regrets and friendships. None of it very remarkable. In a way, a small film. Pleasant with little emotional strength.

It has a bit of a cheesy structure and its use of music isn't very good, but otherwise it's a very heartfelt film that deals with its serious themes well while still being capable of a good amount of levity.
