Alicia Silverstone is hanging from a Ferris Wheel and in order to help save her, to help get her into the car that she's fallen out of, to protect her from imminent danger Kevin Dillon does the only thing anyone would do in that situation and punches her in the face to knock her out to stop her thrashing and carry her back into the car. You'd do the same.

Despite a good premise & two talented leads to carry it, this still fails on almost every level. The plot relies on so many near-impossible-to-believe things & outlandish coincidences, & the longer it goes on the less things start to add up. Silverstone gives a solid performance here, but it isn't her best, & the rest of the cast is largely unremarkable. It's only just over 90 minutes, but feels much longer, & the story just keeps dragging at a snail's pace. Could've been a lot better.

Pretty crappy, although it is surprisingly dark and keeps you guessing (as long as you don't overthink things). Kudos to Verducci for taking seriously the theme of Catholic guilt. It's odd, even though I knew it was Alicia Silervstone, I kept thinking of the character of Mary Giordano as Melissa Joan Hart.
