Shelley Long left Cheers for this so she could stew in shame until she was fabulously cast as Mrs Brady.

Shelley Long as a rich and pampered housewife who starts mentoring a group of Girl Scouts as a way to distract herself from her own divorce proceedings. This utterly wretched cack is what Long served up as her first post-Cheers shot at taking Hollywood by storm. No wonder her career pretty much died until they needed someone to play Carol Brady. TV sitcoms is about the level of her talent.

Got pretty bad reviews in its day, but I didn’t mind it so much since I’m comparing it to comedies in the 2020s and I don’t have to watch Judd or Seth’s douchebag friends improv at each other or get a moral lecture. 39 year old Shelley Long is a snack that I could enjoy for hours

Yes, it's sad. I kind of enjoy this movie every once in a while.

Ridiculous, incredibly 80s, and reasonably enjoyable if you can stand the previous two points.

If you think about it aren't rich people the real persecuted ones?

Really entertaining for a rainy day's walk down nostalgia lane. Simple story, campy, predictable, by no means a work of art.

I liked it as a kid, but it is pretty terrible.

I enjoy this for the fashion and shelley long's warmth & joy. (I can somehow detach my loathing of the rich selfishness of 80s corporate greed)

Let's see, you have Shelley Long, Craig T. Nelson, Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley, Harriet from "Small Wonder," Carla Gugino, Lucy from "ER," Sable from "Dynasty," the maid from "Will & Grace," and even cameos from none other than Tori Spelling and Pia Zadora!! Absolutely camptastic.

Boring and unfunny, Long should have stayed on Cheers.

An enjoyable satire that I appreciate now more than I would have had I seen it as a kid. Where did Shelley Long go?

They played this endlessly on HBO. But seriously, Shelly Long and Craig T Nelson together? Um, no.

I so shouldn't enjoy this simple-minded movie as much as I do, but I'm a sucker for Shelley Long.

Shelly Long is an underrated genius. Oscar worthy perfomances all around. Oh wait, that's a different movie. This movie would be the opposite. This is a waste of celluloid. Go watch a Cheers re-run, or Coach, or Hill Street Blues, or even Saturday Night Live.

What's that you say? Local syndicated network at 2PM on a Sunday? I'll be doing something more important, like forcing myself to take a nap.
