Trevor Noah: Where Was I

A lot of it is Noah's usual annoying liberal virtue signaling coupled with dragging out unfunny jokes that rely on finding European accents and tepid stereotypes funny. He got maybe 1 or 2 decent laughs out of me but I just grew tired by how limited and one-note his jokes are while rolling my eyes at his political commentary that I just ended up zoning him out.

I don’t mide woke humor if it’s actually funny, but Noah is just a hypocrite. “Trans issue is a manufactured distraction tactic and doesn’t affect anyone in real life” while child-transitioning is off the charts (UK trans clinics have received a 4400% uptick in the last decade). However, one is, in the USA, statistically more likely to get struck by lightning than being an unarmed black person who’s shot dead by the police. So, what exactly is manufactured outrage and what is not?

There's nothing funnier than when a comedian puffs his chest about "manufactured outrage" and then spends the next 20 minutes demonstrating the selective, myopic world view that contributes to said outrage... Noah admittedly lands a few good chuckles here and there, and even picks apart some myths vs facts successfully, but it's all undone by his snide and strangely aggressive delivery (the climactic cameo is a good sport, but I'm not sure I follow the extended gag that leads up to him or her).

It's pretty good, but not even Noah's best special.
