Man, this just wasn't my thing. I didn't like a single thing about it.

Often quite funny; the dialogue, voice acting and characters are all quite good. The story is a bit slipshod and despite the short 45-minute runtime, the hyperactivity gets kind of exhausting.

Why is this on here? Trava is no Redline. I mean nothing is, but at least you'd have some reason to expect it here. A few funny moments, Japan's version of stoner humor, but eventually it feels like being around stoned people in real life while sober. Fucking be alive for a second.

The title is a bit awkward (and coincidentally also the name of a really gross sex club in my town) but Trava is energetic, deliciously weird and fun as hell. The animation style is a bit unusual and arty, and quickly won me over. Works wonders as a prelude to the awesome feature Redline, but judged as a stand-alone production it's probably a bit too light.

Cool little precursor for what was to become Redline.
