"And lo, in The Transporter the Second, The Statham giveth no fucks about the Laws that our existence is based on. For if The Statham wishes to drive off of a building and fly across the street into another building, it will be done. The way He gets rid of a bomb under his Transportation Device is so beautifully idiotic that not even readers of this Book, who are expected to swallow the idea of Some Dude creating the universe just because, would believe it. Amen." (Revelations 4:20)

I watched this for free on my brother's TV and I still want my money back. Some nice cinematography and nicely choreographed action sequences, but a mind-numbingly stupid plot and tons of annoying AND flat characters. Gah. Even the decidedly average first movie was better.

Fine movie to just sit down and enjoy the action because there was plenty of it. Sometimes a bit over the top and sometimes you had an 'O my God'-moment, but actually it's still quite good.

An over-the-top sequel that leans into absurd stunts and non-stop action. Jason Statham is effortlessly cool as Frank Martin, handling the role with precision and charm. The Miami setting adds a vibrant flair, but the story feels thin and heavily reliant on outrageous sequences. While it sacrifices realism for spectacle, the movie remains entertaining thanks to its stylish execution and Statham’s magnetic presence. A fun, guilty pleasure for fans of high-octane action.

Cringey, stereotypical villains with an idiotic, unnecessarily complicated, unabashedly unoriginal master plan about a virus that spreads like a wildfire, yet somehow the hero doesn't get it and it can be contained by a magical antidote? Check. Shallow, cliched bond between the hero and a kid, whose mum either drools over the hero or shows her maternal instincts? Check. Ridiculous dialogues, mediocre CGI and absolutely impossible, preposterous action? Check. The stunts were really good though.

Pretty much same song, second verse and if you like the tune that's playing, it's reasonable escapism; probably a bigger problem for genre hounds is that this same basic material has been done with greater conviction in the hands of Norris/Bronson etc., and (later) more spectacularly in the hands of Neeson, which makes these films feel so far like an empty compromise of the two approaches. As before, Statham is serviceable if not memorable; ditto his bland array of villains.

Too many ludicrous moments, like the plane remaining intact after crashing into the ocean. Some neat combat bits, like the firehose, but many others are too strange: the metal pole bends like rubber. Story is okay to decent (aside from the last bit) but this sequel fails with the set pieces because they're silly not clever.

I'll give it a slight edge over the first one for the sake of the kid and Statham's connection. It does actually give you something to root for which I appreciate. However, the over the top madness of these films don't justify the actual action itself. Once again, Statham, his charisma, and his insanely bad one liners are what has become this franchise's bread and butter. It's hard not to like, but it would be nice to see a bit more effort put into the rest of the film.

Utterly idiotic. The first few totally implausible/impossible action sequences are entertaining enough, but... an entire movie of Jason Statham defying all physical laws? The tone is ever-so-slightly jokey... it's difficult to tell whether all these physically impossible feats are genre-parody or not, and it's equally difficult to decide whether making it more jokey would improve things or not. And Matthew Modine, what the hell happened to you? You were an actual actor once upon a time.

The Transporter 2 is just a carbon copy of the first film and it's completely forgettable. Jason Statham has a car chase, a few fist fights and handful of shoot outs, the end. The first film wasn't particularly great and this sequel offers nothing new. It's dumb but tolerable and worth a watch once though.

Transporter 2 fixes almost all of the problems that its predecessor had, and ends up being quite the enjoyable little film. It has a plot, which is usually a plus, while also having inventive action scenes and at least one memorable character. It has elements to complement the almost relentless action scenes, and since those are improved too, you'll have a lot of fun with this one. All in all, I enjoyed this Transporter quite a bit.

I think it would have been a better movie if they had decided to forego the CGI car stunts and stuck to real driving. If something is physically possible and you've got the guts to do it, that makes a great movie. But something that defies the laws of physics and exists only in a CGI world defeats the purpose of the movie.

Well I thought it was better than the first only because the action sequences are entertaining. Mostly due to how they're filmed this time around (they are still completely over the top, which can be good or bad depending on your viewpoint). The story isn't particularly interesting, has plenty of roll-eye moments and really just feels like Man on Fire but nowhere near as bad ass. Plus the antagonists are really lame. I thought chicks in bikinis with guns went out of style in the 90's?
