Transpecos

Slow burn thriller never comes to a full boil, but benefits from fine work from Luna and Simmons doing their best to sell the moral and ethical ambiguities of Kwedar's underdeveloped screenplay - there's a point when it's clear that the characters are behaving arbitrarily to serve the needs of the plot, which dilutes the tension towards the finale; some vague political statements on the subject of border crossings/patrol don't land because it doesn't feel as if Kwedar's heart is really in them.

Hate when the characters acts without logic time after time.
