Made solely to trick stoned teenagers into renting it during late night Blockbuster runs.

Alright, the reason I'm giving it a 6 instead of a 1 (I don't give zeros, the 1 is for the very fact it was distributed -- kind of like the wine scale, where you get 50 points just for being a wine) is because, while it is bad on a catastrophic level and while there are no redeeming features at all, it did not offend me. I was not so filled with hate that I wished ill upon all cast and crew. It is certainly stupid, it is incompetent, but it is not vile and did not offend me. That is all.

We rented this movie expecting it to be terrible, and of course we were right. The film itself is sloppy, ugly, muddled, and so bad not even MST3K would touch it. But the real treat comes in the DVD Special Features section, which includes an interview with the director, a short documentary on the "special" effects, and a few other hilariously self-indulgent bits about the making of the film. This misguided effort was enough to catapult it from simply awful to Ed Wood levels of terrible.

Somehow our seedy direct-to-video exploitation knockoffs are now less racist and sexist than the blockbusters they steal from. What happened?

A movie that might not have anything to do with the Transformers, but is still one of the worst I have seen in a long time. Watching the horrendous acting and the bad dialogue was bad enough, but there seemed to be no common sense. The CGI almost made it look cartoonish, which I thought it was when the first special effects hit. Really really bad movie. One of the worst I've seen in a long time.

Transmorphers is a very low budget production, blatantly cashing in on the success of Transformers. Although initial impressions might suggest that it is more of a mockery than a serious film, the production values seem to try and dispute this despite dire acting, horrible jerky animation and a plotline ripped straight from the Matrix & Terminator series. Most of the film is spent underground, but there are some laughs during the action sequences as actors jump and flail to disasterous results.

I honestly only recommend this movie as a joke to people I don't like.

The amount of silences take about 5/6th of the movie. The rest is just uninteresting bullshit, you wish they were silent instead

The acting is terrible, easily the worst I've seen. The majority of the cast seems to be young, attractive women, giving me the impression that they were hired for their looks and not acting skill; as if the director was hoping that pretty girls alone would draw in an audience of young boys, which I find very offensive. Also, the CG is horrible, easily the worst I've seen. This movie has no strong points at all, every single aspect sucks.

Every plot point in this film has been ripped from other films from the guy in cryostasis ala Demolition Man to the uploading of a virus to disrupt the enemy ala Independence Day. The only original thing is that for some reason society is now a matriarchy. That aside, this film would have made more sense as a sequel to War of the Worlds (Which the Asylum also did, badly) as humanity is now living underground as the alien/robot monsters control the Earth.

Ironically this battle against the machines seems like it was written, directed and acted by robots. Low-budget doesn't have to mean uninspired. The script is a mish-mash of ideas from other movies shoehorned into an incoherent mess. The direction is lifeless. The hero gives a very average performance, but everyone else is terrible. Admittedly they were playing the dull, insipid one-dimensional roles written for them so I'm not sure how much they're at fault. Terrible, even by Asylum standards.

Asylum films are the worst films. The best part of this movie was the IMDB thread in which the director defended the film and ended up sounding like a huge dick.

Sadly if he had the budget I'm sure Leigh Scott could be every bit the director Michael Bay is.

A deeply pathetic effort not even worthy of this comment.
