The gangster and the kid relationship was too convenient. One minute he was brutally ordering his assassination, the next moment gang leader is helping the young man and his dog. Didn't make sense, even from a animal loving perspective. Otherwise it was alright. Good role for Jackie Cooper, taking advantage of his youthful presence. And of course you had Rin Tin Tin Jr. going some good acting too. Not so much action, unfortunately.
