A slasher take on Back to the Future (directly referenced in dialogue) but in doing so proving what an airtight, clockwork piece of art that film’s screenplay was. This one is nowhere near as precise and the rules governing its time travel seem loose and incoherent (even the way time travel is introduced into the story feels unconvincing). Its depiction of the 80s also feels plastic and hollow; this is the kind of flick that should have been shot on film with an old school Dean Cundey look.

I had a fun time, but I can't say the film was as great as people say it is. The Final Girls, which was released years before this movie and used the same concept, had a much better script, a better slasher theme, and also better direction. Totally Killer doesn't have the same magic.

It stands out a little bit because of the time travel aspect, even if it's really just a breezy take on it. But that, the mystery of who the killer is (I like these kinds of slashers), the humour and Shipka's performance was enough for me. Sure, it doesn't really go above and beyond, but it was never boring.

Retcon hybrid of \"Back to the Future\" and \"Scream\" that panders to millennial or zoomster views of what 1987 was like. Excruciatingly obvious and very slow as if designed for a room full of diversity-addled quasi-communist media-brainwash oversocialized System Men, it spends about half of its time trying to shock us with outrage that our propagand did not work in 1987, and the rest trying to re-write 1987 as the vision of it we have now. Its meatless plot plods on and on.

A fun little horror comedy w a dash of time travel. Doesn't take itself too seriously, but also has bite. Shipka does a nice job with it. 7.4

A lot of the humor fell flat and the final reveal and ending were lame but this was a fun time waster nonetheless.

I’ve been really fond of recent films of this ilk, such as Happy Death Day and The Final Girls. While there are some fun moments present, it is lacking in both the quality of writing and heart that made those films work. The script is somewhat clunky, and the acting is inconsistent. It felt like it tried too hard. I had some fun with it, but it’s disappointing when compared to what’s been done years ago.

The silliness really does work. It's a quality comedy/horror blend.

This film has a clever script that keeps things moving the entire way. The cast works well together and help elevate the material. Overall I would highly recommend this film.

Fun to watch. To solve today's problems, you gotta always work through the past, deal with the collective memory and norms of the community. Only by understanding and forgiving what mistakes caused the things to turn out the way did can one transform and transfigure the present. In that sense, it s a mother-daughter story, whereby the daughter comes of age and forgives the mother. It's a relative of "Everything Everywhere All at Once."

I don't know why everyone's comparing this film to Backdraft; Kurt Russell's not even in it!

Happy Death Day ile Scream arasında 1 teen slasher. Halloween da cabası. Annesinin ölmesi sonucu, zaman makinesiyle geçmişe gidip katili yakalamaya giden genç kızımızın hikayesi. 80 ler nostaljisini izleten film, arkadaş bağlarını da iyi anlatmış. Bu arada çok eğlenceli. Türler arasında 1 zaman yolculuğu. Filmin sonunda, ağbim gelmiş. Bilmem belki yapsaydı hayatta olurdu. Neyi?

The 80s retro sci-fi horror story is what I’d lovingly refer to as a slumber party movie: it’s breezy, playful, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Incredibly lame for a film with so much potential to look cool -- and Kiernan Shipka really tries hard to help that happen.

Come on, 1987 wasn't THAT long ago, we had... um... we weren't... Eh. Fun, I guess. Tonally off at times - some kills are treated as genuine horror, others as gags. Hardly very inventive in either the slasher, time travel or comedy aspects, and doesn't pause to dig into the world our heroine ends up in, but it's a workable combination, the plot keeps the characters working, and it never really outstays its welcome.

\"Totally Killer\" is a horror comedy available on Amazon Prime, blending elements of the slasher genre and time travel. The story follows a young woman who travels back in time to prevent a serial killer's reign of terror in a small town with a violent history, while also exploring the comedic aspects of her adjusting to the past. The film references \"Back to the Future\" and incorporates humor and horror tropes, resulting in a fun but flawed movie with notable dialogue issues.
