Kudos to Dicaprio for taking this risky role so early in his career & for steely line readings of some ruthless lines but the execution of the dysfunctional love affair between Rimbaud & Verlaine is painfully inept & often unintentionally comic. I can't help thinking how much better The Broken Tower is, not least because it respects the poetry first.
