It becomes problematic when you claim some sort of realism in your aesthetics yet your actors can't act and you don't know how to direct scenes to make them realistic. Also: If you want to do a film where nothing much happens, you need more interesting characters

Interesting, (Nilsen inspired) banality of evil tale. A good score and mostly well done direction. I may have got more out of this as I know the locations well but, really captures some of run-down Londons' loneliness and deprivation.

Didn't really have any expectations from it, so was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting more murder, but it was more of a character study. The lead is perfectly suited for the role, and is a real creepy, awkward weirdo. He's interesting to watch though as he goes about his week. It's like a 'kitchen sink' film about a serial killer.

Tony is a low-budget, low-key serial killer thriller/drama. The scariest thing about it is how easily imaginable it is that the slightly odd, unassuming guy in the council flat next door could have a sideline in corpse collecting and dismemberment.

An excellent, uncomfortable watch. Had a bit of trouble understanding some of the dialog due to thick British accents, however, so I turned on the subtitles (Amazon streaming) & they were less than helpful: "surely you are me watching Gary Busey and hunter in the hands you can film if you sing it/ in which you did". What was actually said: "I was watching Gary Busey 'Hider in the House'. It's a good film, have you seen it?" "Then what'd you do?"

Ends kind of abruptly. Could have used more murdering. I had no clue that you need a license to own a TV in England...what the hell???

A number of good sequences in this low-key serial killer drama that benefits from a very good original musical score. Seems to take the serial killer as a device to expose the disaffection and withdrawal of contemporary society, an idea that is nothing new but fairly effective in this case.
