a pretty dumb joke.

Early talkies are pretty easy targets for parody: poor acting, redundant dialogue, excessive Foley work, etc. Unfortunately, they're *such* easy targets that this thing runs out of new jokes to shoot for after about a minute or two, and just sort of drags on, and on, and on. Still, good for a chuckle or two.
