It's funny how it has like nothing to do with Tom and Jerry

25% just because they are Tom and Jerry... well, their mere shadows that lost any appeal at the same moment they received the gift of speech.

This movie is better than people give it credit for. It's a fun time. The songs are catchy even though the lyrics are silly. The Music by Henry Mancini is great!

I think it can keep a kid unfamiliar with Tom and Jerry, or too young to care, entertained. Almost every character is out to kill animals or the kid, but no one is that scary. Many short musical pieces for some reason. Most actual fans of Tom and Jerry will be pissed with the huge liberty they took by making them talk and consider friendship, so beware

I will shamelessly admit that I loved this film as a kid, now looking back on it I COULD deem as a So Bad It's Good not-tom-and-jerry Tom & Jerry film but I don't have time to open up that can of worms

It's not a Tom and Jerry movie if it isn't about Tom and Jerry, and they're hardly in it.

WTF why are the speaking and singing stupid ass songs? Not the Tom and Jerry I remember.

This film takes the fond memories some might have of watching the cartoon as a child and rips them to pieces. Tom and Jerry have changed so much they seem like totally different characters, pretty dull ones at that. Instead of Tom jumping out of a window after Jerry, the only thing to fall flat on its face is the film itself.

This film was just boring and extremely not-funny. I love Tom and Jerry, I really do, but this is just junk. Watch the cartoons, but don't watch this one.

You've *got* to be kidding me. And I thought the cheap cartoons made in Eastern Europe in the 60's were bad. Well, they were, but this movie's not really any more redeeming. If you want Tom and Jerry, watch the shorts produced by Fred Quimby and, to a lesser extend, Chuck Jones. This movie is junk. They don't really talk... once in a while they bend that rule for a gag, but never like this.

"HEY LETS MAKE THEM TALK AND HANDLE SERIOUS ISSUES INSTEAD OF TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER. WOW WHAT A GREAT IDEA, KIDS WILL LOVE IT."

It would be more interesting if it wasn't Tom and Jerry!

Somehow, I wish this were a rated-R hyper-stylized adult's movie (ala Coonskin), and not a sentimental, work-together typical children's story with musical numbers... I think it would be more faithful to the source material.

They have ruined EVERYTHING!

I'm no Tom and Jerry loyalist or anything, but I do know they're not supposed to be talking.
