Esse é um dos filmes favoritos do John Ford, mas assisti a cópia do youtube sem trilha sonora e fica claro que ele perde a força sem o acompanhamento sonoro adequado para marcar as nuances narrativas, só espero um dia vê-lo adequadamente. Engaging, sweet drama. It doesn't seem quite right that it feels that it can only be possible in its time, and as a premodern silent.

Some plot points are a little strained, but Barthelmess is terrific and helps the film create an interesting character study. The final 20 minutes or so are particularly strong.
