This was incredibly simple and sweet tale of fleeting romance. It is most definitely bittersweet, but the film is all the better because it made it more of a coming-of-age story rather than a straight-forward romance. I feel like it works incredibly well as a short-film, though I do think a bit more time could have been added to flesh out the characters more. Regardless, this is a gentle film that reminds me of incredibly stripped-down version of Spirited Away, just not as memorable.

I remember reading the manga way back when and it's probably the most I've ever cried while reading a comic. I cried VIOLENTLY. Film didn't hit quite as hard because I had been emotionally depleted by this story already, but it is an absolute must watch for first time viewers. One of the best short stories I've ever come across in any medium.

Bittersweet but wonderfully made. Its the kind of film that makes you want more but you're kind of glad that it ends how it does.

Straightforwardly, beautifully bittersweet. A wonderful ending propels this about five spots higher than it otherwise would have been, although the rest was very cute. Not much more to say than that, really, considering it's only 40 minutes long.

Nice and short film that is just really cute. I felt like I wanted more by the end but knew I wouldn't, so stayed satisfied.

Incredible how much emotion you can feel for these characters after only 40 minutes.

You can tell pretty early on that it's going to end bittersweet, but it is executed very well maintaining just the right balance, not getting too weepy or too zealous, yet it doesn't really push any boundaries or take any chances that could have propelled the story.
