Timothy (Dickie Moore), an orphan, is sent with his sister, Gay (Sally Martin), to a farm run by Vilda Cummins (Elizabeth Patterson, an old maid with a dislike for children. Timothy eventually wins her over, and also pushes along the romance for her niece, Martha (Eleanore Whitney), with David Masters (Tom Keene).

One of several underwhelming attempts in the 1930s to remake what had been classic silent adaptations of folksy novels. I mean, Timothy's Quest (1936) has it's little charms, but I can't say they captured the same magic as the 1922 version, nor does the production feel very impressive. Relies solely on cuteness of the kids to push the film forward, but they honestly needed more than that to save this one from the obscure status this one deserved.
