This movie has some clever ideas. Just as the story is getting interesting, it's over. The acting performances were hampered by poor writing, bad casting, and sluggish plot progression. Also, some of what was obvious took forever to be formally exposed. Barely worth watching, but with mountains worth of lost potential.

A solid, sleeper sci-fi flick. While it does boast a very modest budget, the film makers knew where to cut corners, and how to make their bucks count, which is a rare talent for an industry that regularly shells out tens of millions of dollars for a Pitt, or a Depp appearance. If you're a sci-fi lover, this is a hidden gem, so don't pass this up.

Time Trap boasts a solid premise that is well-executed for the most part. With a barely known cast and moderately low budget, the film manages to tell a coherent time travel tale that remains interesting throughout. There are a few plot holes and the dialogue is a little pointlessly busy at times, but these flaws are easily overlooked. A little predictable, but I liked the direction it took.

Improbably jacked archaeology student and two hot blondes in tank tops (one of whom is also a student, but it is the movie that neglects her, not I) descend into an improbably mysterious cave in the manner of their many predecessors but this time lugging around two young teens in a ploy so cynical and irritating as to make you feel as though you just lost a busy round of limp biscuit: '80s Spielberg edition. The kind of crud that makes you appreciate what Benson and Moorhead are doing.

There are exactly two neat effects (upside down water and the sun effect), and a helping of indie earnestness, but in the end they are lost in an incomprehensible, poorly acted, nearly unwatchable affair. (Culture Night Feature)

I'm kind of a sucker for time travel movies, so this was up my alley. Pretty decent for this genre and low budget of a movie. A few things didn't quite add up, but still pretty fun.

Should have gone further into the future at the end, gotten stranger, the sun could have turned red. It seems like only seconds would have passed in the inner area, even in hundreds of years.

Has enough fresh ideas, concepts and visuals to stimulate the mind. It is not a masterpiece, there are some plot holes, inconsistencies, crowded and bad (at times) dialogue, but for a sci-fi indie film about time travel, I think it holds up pretty well. Worth a watch if you're into the genre.

It was pretty good to watch, it's just a decent sci-fi that tries to satisfy everyone.

The acting isn't great but overall a fun story and concept. Go in with the right expectations and if this is your genre you'll have a lot of fun.

Since when any nonsense passes as sci-fi? Time travel in some 60 meter deep cave in front of everyone's nose that nobody can find? Yup, you got it, brilliant. Meaningless future scenes instead of a decent story? Say no more. Trivia time: which movie genre does not require any character development? Think about it. And while you're at it, listen, it felt like I've got 5 years older after watching this movie, even though it merely lasted 90 minutes. Sci-fi me this.

Manage to pull of the story in the beginning even though it has quite the b-movie feeling to it. Unfortunately it then hugely disappoints with the ending and too many unsolved questions.

In ca. 4 Sek. Höhlenzeit vergeht auf der Erdoberfläche 1 Jahr.

good watch and original idea which was sick, but they shouldnt have said how long each passing light was as it just didnt make sense, also i would have liked to see the future humans and know more, but then again how do you even explain that well so its just easier to leave it out. a lot of wasted potential

The ideas are great, the acting is mediocre at best, and the dialogue is absolutely abysmal, not to mention it has plot holes. The characters arrive at the same conclusions as the audience, but ten minutes later, and then proceed to over-explain it as if we didn’t already know. Sharknado looks competently done in comparison, but if all you want is interesting Sci-Fi mechanics, it might be watchable.

It could be very good, idea that behind in this film was actually good but that acting and screenwriting was TERRIBLE. That can't be fucking real. I wanted to punch the screen every time whenever a characters say "oh my god". I understand thats low budget but thats not enough to explain how shitiy this is. This film make you feel like an idiot. For example: whenever a character picks up something: "I got the ..." No shit sherlock! Okay this is nothing but they are doing this like 100 times.

This has one of those AMAZING concepts and, if executed correctly, could have translated to an equally great film. Unfortunately, that proved to be too tough a task, as it falls apart in the climax and results in a lacklustre ending. It started off strong, which allowed you to overlook the B-grade feel, but it doesn't last.

Yeaaaa, not bad for a low budget sci-fi, but the ending was a stretch. I would've preffered a slower burning, more philosophical approach than an epic sci-fi ending, especially on a low budget. Not boring but the story isn't strong enough.

For a low budget film, it's a remarkable achievement in filmmaking. Fascinating, novel story. Filmed very well--at times the imagery is nothing short of stunning. Scored perfectly. It could have been a great film. However, the acting is so bad. It's consistently horrible acting, though, so in that regard, it almost works. To be fair, the dialog is often just as bad, patronizing, unintentionally-campy, and reductionist, not leaving them with much to work with. Spielberg-esque, but far better.
