Tillie the Toiler

Typical vehicle for Marion Davies, really. You can see her trying hard to capture the champing moments, but that was always the thing with her. She had to try hard, it didn't come natural. Once in a while she nails it, but often not so much. For me it was often the other cast members that brought Tillie the Toiler (1927) to life. Especially Bert Roach and that little kid. The film was alright.
