Really enjoyed this one. Another different character role for Edward G Robinson. Nice romantic drama in a unique setting (the world of Pacific tuna fishing).

A fine picture with Edward G. Robinson as the ugly sea captain finally getting a girl out of gratitude rather then love. Problem is that he's got a much more handsome friend in Richard Arlen for Zita Johann to fall in love with. And that sets up the love triangle. Apart from the main story this movie also serves as a documentation of fisherman's life at the time from catching the fish to distributing it.
