Em honra de Tônia Carrero (1922 - 2018) Aqui, aos 30 anos, Tônia está mesmo no auge da beleza e o protagonista do filme está com um embate semelhante ao que Adolfo Celi enfrentou ao deixar a grande Cacilda Becker por ela. Numa cinebio altamente romanceada, tem todas as qualidades e defeitos das mesmas hollywoodianas sobre músicos dos anos 40 (Cole Porter, Glenn Miller) que favoreciam o simbolismo em detrimento da acurácia factual, tanto que soam até desonestos em demasia.

By far the best when it was in circus mode, but the overall rhythm of this film, which builds around the song "Tico-Tico no Fubá", was a pleasure to behold.
