Thursday's Child

A fine little British drama long forgotten. Film debut of Sally Ann Howes, who seems to be still alive as I'm watching this. My heart always skips a beat when I watch old films where someone is actually still alive. Here she plays a kid who gets a lucky break to star in movies. The effect it has on her family is what drives the story and it's a rather well-written story. Not the most dramatic kind, but there was a certain dignity that could be traced in this.
