Thunder Road

As we watch this man mourn the loss of his mother in a single take, Thunder Road hits a couple spots: it's emotional but slightly awkwardly amusing. It's emotional because it's honest -- it tackles the idea of loss and how important parents are. We also get to learn a fair bit about this guy in a short period of time due to his monologue. I didn't find it that funny but I can see that some of it is played for laughs. It didn't wow me but I dug it a fair bit.
