Lewis' garbled response to feminism. Sort of. It seems to draw the conclusion that no matter how mad women are at men, they will inevitably be suckers for charming a%@#holes, especially ones they have already fallen for. As far as his Columbia period goes, this is the best of the bunch, and there are several interesting, if not necessarily funny, moments.

Practically a melodrama, practically a psychological thriller. One of Jerry's most exciting and confounding works. Can't think of another comedy filmmaker who could nail that dancing long take and, say, the gags with the cigar in the same movie.
