Sam Newfield directed well over a hundred westerns, and Three Desperate Men (1951) might be his best. Preston Foster being one of the biggest names he got in front of the camera, along with what seems like a better budget . That means a more polished production. Story is a bit off, as it doesn't really create too much sympathy for the gang, as they really turn outlaw even if it's not really they fault at first. But it's a cool turn of things and packs in quite a bit of action.
