Three Daring Daughters

The format felt very much like a Three Smart Girls (1936) rip-off and they were Durbinizing relative newcomer Jane Powell. She definitely had a lot of personality for it. Unfortunately, I wouldn't say I loved it in the same vain of a Durbin vehicles, though, I did appreciate what pianist José Iturbi brought to the mix. The girls were almost annoying, so his calm balanced the experience. So while the film felt like it lacked tweaking, Jane Powell certainly got noticed.
